A Miracle in the Midst of Weakness

In Canaán Cachiyacu, Contamana, lives Lizeth M., a 41-year-old woman whose smile is now fighting to shine through her pain. She was diagnosed with diabetes ten years ago, but over the past three months her health has seriously declined. Weakness has taken over her body to the point that she cannot stand up on her own. Her days are spent moving between a bed and a chair, completely dependent on others for care.

Lizeth is the mother of 3 children, but because of her condition she is unable to care for them as she once did. Her own mother now cares for both Lizeth and her grandchildren, carrying a double burden despite many limitations. Her husband works every day and is the sole provider for the family.
The AMOR Projects team met Lizeth during one of the river medical outreach campaigns in Contamana and the surrounding communities. A neighbor approached us and said there was a woman who needed medical attention but was unable to travel to where our team was located. Without hesitation, the missionaries went to her home.

That same day, Lizeth was able to walk a little after a long time. It was a very meaningful moment. With tears in her eyes, she expressed her gratitude for the help she received and reaffirmed her faith that God will continue working in her health. Every donation and every prayer allows us to keep reaching homes like Lizeth’s, where a missionary visit can make the difference between despair and renewed faith.
Thank you for being part of this mission of love and service.
