“A Hand of Love at the Perfect Time”: Valentino’s Story of Hope

Valentino, an 11-year-old boy with a joyful and dream-filled heart, lived his days between play, school, and the love of his family. He attends the Adventist Church in Cawide, and he loved learnng about God and participating in the church’s activities. One day at school, however, his life took an unexpected turn. During recess, a classmate accidentally pushed him, causing a hard fall. The impact was so severe that he suffered a serious clavicle fracture.

The diagnosis was clear and urgent: the doctor told Valentino’s parents that he needed immediate surgery to avoid future complications. The news was devastating. His family, with limited resources, had no way to afford such a costly operation. The pain prevented Valentino from continuing his schooling and he was mostly confined to his home, unable to do his normal activities and becoming depressed.

In the midst of fear and uncertainty, God opened a door: AMOR Projects came as a true answer from heaven. Moved by the love of Christ and their mission to serve those in need, when they discovered Valentino’s predicament, they didn’t hesitate to lend a hand and cover the cost of Valentino’s surgery.
Thanks to this intervention, Valentino received the operation just in time and is now in full recovery. He is smiling again, dreaming again, and slowly getting ready to return to school. His family has seen God’s faithfulness throughout this process and how He works through people with hearts willing to serve.

“We felt it was Jesus Himself who came to help us through AMOR Projects,” says his mother. “We will never forget this act of love.”
Valentino’s testimony reminds us that even in the most difficult moments, God still hears our prayers and moves hearts to bring comfort, healing, and hope.
