I chose to be a student missionary for a couple of reasons. First, I wanted a better relationship with God, and through this experience, I can definitely say He has become the center of my life. The second reason was because it has always been a goal of mine since being in high school. And the final reason was because I am a nursing major and I want to use my skills in the mission field. So, I would recommend anyone thinking of doing Student Missions to do it. You will be blessed beyond measure both spiritually and emotionally. It is a priceless experience to dedicate one’s life for a year to the Lord. He will mold and grow you into the person that He wants you to be.

I came to AMOR Projects because it was the only mission field I could find that would allow me to learn medical skills alongside Spanish. Although I grew up in the church, I never had the desire to be a missionary until I had a deep and personal experience with Jesus a couple years ago. At different times I’ve felt helpless, exhausted, bored, irritated, and useless here in the mission field. However, I’m very happy I came here as I was able to have countless new experiences, make unforgettable memories, and feel that the people here were my very own familia.

I have chosen to be a student missionary to help others. Following the belief that I can truly make a difference in the world. I also want to see the world and experience new and exciting cultures. Being a student missionary is one of the first steps to being that difference and allow other to live in Christ.
