25 Smiles That Lit Up Tierra Buena VBS
For one week, the rural community of Tierra Buena witnessed more than just a vacation activity: it witnessed hope.
Twenty-five children arrived each day with shy smiles and eyes full of curiosity. Many of them do not have safe places to play or their own school supplies. However, during this week they found a safe place where they could learn, sing, create, and dream.
They listened to stories that planted values in their hearts. They learned new songs that they still joyfully sing today. They filled their workbooks with enthusiasm, colored drawings full of life and vibrancy, and created crafts that showcased their creativity and talent. Every recreational game was not just fun, but also an opportunity to learn how to share, respect one another, and work as a team.
It was moving to see how, with simple resources but with great love, a deep impact was made in their lives. The children did not just take crafts home; they carried home lessons, happy memories, and the certainty that someone cares about them.
