Welcome To AMOR Projects

Our Objectives

The objective of AMOR Projects is to improve the health status of Peru's population, targeting the class of extreme poverty.

We place a high priority on the physical and spiritual health of Peruvian villagers living in poverty. Our goal is to alleviate illness and ease suffering through free medical care and health education, making our services accessible to those in greatest need.

Our Mission Statement

» To mingle with our brothers and sisters in east Peru.

» To show sympathy, love, and compassion as we minister to their medical, dental, educational and spiritual needs, in order to win their confidence and friendship.

» To provide a place where students and missionaries can share an adventure of life changing experiences through hands-on service to others that will be a catalyst for personal growth, stronger faith, and deeper relationships with our Creator.

Location

Pucallpa

» Pucallpa is in the Amazonian rain forest of eastern Peru, located on the banks of the Ucayali River, a major tributary of the Amazon River. The best way to get to Pucallpa is to fly. You can take a one hour flight on one of Peru’s national airlines – Star Peru or LAN.

» Pucallpa boasts very little tourism although there are various native villages and places of interest nearby. Many shanty towns have sprung up in and around the city, and countless motokars (a motorcycle with a small buggy attached) and taxis make the roadways buzz with activity.

"Km8"

» The site know as “Km8” is 8 kilometers from the city of Pucallpa. At this site, most of the medical outreach is accomplished. AMOR Projects has a clinic at this location. The clinic can handle many facets of medicine; dental, medical, eye care, and contains a pharmacy. AMOR Project staff and student missionaries are located at Km8.
